BIDV continues its decade of leadership with a pair of international awards for Retail Banking
On March 12, 2026, in Shanghai, China, at the TAB Global Excellence in Retail Finance Awards 2026 ceremony, BIDV was honored with two prestigious awards: "Best Retail Bank in Vietnam" and "Best Deposit Product in the Asia-Pacific Region."
This is the 11th time BIDV has been awarded the title of Best Retail Bank in Vietnam by The Asian Banker magazine, further affirming the bank's leading position in the retail sector and recognizing its new advances in developing innovative products and services in the region.
From a solid foundation to impressive growth milestones
Amidst a rapidly evolving financial banking market characterized by the emergence of new technological trends, diverse customer financial service demands, and higher standard requirements, BIDV remains steadfast in pursuing its customer-centric retail banking development strategy, vigorously promoting digital transformation and business model innovation.
2025 saw many outstanding results in BIDV's retail activities. The scale of retail credit and capital mobilization from individual customers both exceeded VND 1.1 million billion, making BIDV the first bank in Vietnam to achieve this scale in both indicators.
The individual customer base continued to grow strongly in both scale and quality, with a total of over 26 million customers, of which over 84% transacted through digital channels.

Alongside expanding its scale, BIDV focuses on developing specialized financial solutions tailored to the financial needs and behaviors of each customer segment, from young customers, small traders, and retirees to high-end customers.
In the small business and household business segment, BIDV is the pioneer in launching the comprehensive sales management solution MyShop Pro, which is directly integrated into the BIDV SmartBanking application, helping customers manage revenue, cash flow, access digital banking services, and convert tax models in accordance with new regulations.
For young and mass market customers, BIDV pioneered the implementation of many preferential credit programs in the areas of production and business, green credit, and consumer loans. Notably, there is a home loan package for young people under 35 years old with a scale of VND 40,000 billion and the most attractive interest rates on the market, contributing to supporting the younger generation in realizing their goal of settling down in accordance with the Government's policy.

Also during this award ceremony, BIDV's online deposit product was honored by The Asian Banker with the "Best Deposit Product in Asia Pacific" award.

The award recognizes BIDV's efforts in promoting online savings habits through its online term deposit product on BIDV SmartBanking, which offers a fast, flexible, and smart experience.
Customers can choose from various deposit options such as fixed deposits or flexible principal withdrawals, receive monthly or end-of-term interest payments, and utilize flexible solutions like online collateral loans or savings account transfers when spending needs arise while maintaining yield.
Not stopping at traditional savings functions, BIDV has also expanded its ecosystem of surrounding utilities, such as savings for home purchase or study abroad goals, to automatic investment tools for idle funds in payment accounts.
Thanks to these conveniences, the scale of deposits through BIDV's digital channels recorded an annual growth rate of over 50% during the 2021-2025 period, contributing to promoting savings habits and expanding access to digital financial services to many customer segments.
