In recent years, BIDV has continuously improved its comprehensive ESG governance model, promoted the implementation of sustainable finance and achieved many outstanding results. The Bank has completed its sustainable finance framework system according to international standards, such as: Sustainable Loan Framework, Green Bond Framework, Sustainable Bond Framework, Sustainable Deposit Framework and ESMS Framework. These frameworks have been confirmed by independent assessment organizations to be highly appropriate, creating an important foundation for BIDV to diversify its ESG product portfolio.

In terms of products, BIDV is the pioneer bank to successfully deploy Green Deposits with many consecutive mobilizations in 2024 - 2025, attracting nearly VND 12,000 billion in capital mobilization turnover from organizations and businesses interested in sustainable development. The green credit portfolio continues to grow positively through the issuance of preferential policies for green construction loans, green credit programs for clean water projects, and seaports. BIDV also piloted Sustainability Linked Loans (SLL) linking interest rate incentives with ESG criteria and promoting the application of the Environmental - Social Risk Management System (ESMS) in trade finance activities.

At the same time, BIDV has strongly expanded international cooperation with prestigious organizations such as GCF, JBIC, etc. Through these cooperation programs, BIDV and its partners have implemented many activities to support businesses in inventorying and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, consulting on green transformation, accessing carbon credits, international standards and climate capital. Bilateral and multilateral cooperation helps BIDV improve its capacity to deploy sustainable finance, while expanding its professional ecosystem to closely accompany the business community on the journey of greening its business model.

In 2025, BIDV actively organized and participated as a speaker at many domestic and international seminars and events to introduce international ESG trends and share green financial solutions and successful implementation experiences for businesses. The series of events attracted hundreds of businesses and many international organizations, creating an open forum to support businesses in accessing ESG standards, helping to strengthen the connection between banks - businesses - international partners in green transformation.

Adhering to the national strategy and orientation on green growth and carbon neutrality, BIDV always proactively updates new policies of the Government and the State Bank related to interest rate support for green projects, circular economy, green classification categories and carbon market. On that basis, the bank gradually expands the sustainable ecosystem, adjusts products and business processes to support customers to meet new requirements, and effectively exploits opportunities from capital sources and incentive mechanisms for green projects.

Being honored as one of the Top 10 sustainable enterprises operating in the field of trade and services is not only a recognition of BIDV's efforts but also affirms the bank's pioneering role in promoting green finance and international cooperation, actively contributing to Vietnam's sustainable development and green transformation goals.
