A lighthouse in the heart of Hanoi
On March 28, 1991—whether by fate or not—a bank branch named the BIDV Transaction Office (now BIDV – Transaction Office Branch 1) was established in the heart of the capital, Hanoi. Over time, its reputation grew increasingly prominent, becoming the first unit in Vietnam’s commercial banking system and the only BIDV unit to be awarded the prestigious title of “Labor Hero of the Reform Era” by the State.

The place that used to be my "home"
Thirty-five springs have passed since the establishment of Exchange 1 BIDV. I have since retired, but one thing I am certain of is this: everyone who leaves this place feels a sense of longing, wishing they could have worked here a little longer… No matter where they go, everyone still thinks of this place as the “home” of their lives.

Exchange Office I - Our Beautiful Youth
I am one of the first-generation staff members of Exchange I. Here, I worked for 12 years and held various positions. Each role represented personal growth, a sense of belonging, deep affection, and many other noble qualities—not just for me, but for the many generations of staff who have been dedicated to Exchange I.

In the excited and proud atmosphere spreading throughout the country on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); welcoming the 15th Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development, term 2025-2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; and commemorating the 68th anniversary of the founding of BIDV (April 26, 1957 - April 26, 2025), the Party Committee of BIDV officially launched the publication "History of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (1957-2025)".

April is here, let's "Get up and go"
I feel a double sense of pride in these April days when celebrating the Traditional Day BIDV which takes place right around the anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. These days, whenever I hear the song "Get up and go, get up and go, my fellow countrymen!", it seems like a fire is burning, urging me to be more responsible and take action.
