In response to the "Plant 1 Billion Trees" campaign launched by the Prime Minister, on the morning of April 2, in Lai Hoa Commune (Can Tho City), the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in collaboration with the Community Fund for Disaster Prevention and BIDV, organized a launch ceremony for afforestation aimed at protecting the ecological environment and addressing climate change.

On April 1, 2026, in Can Tho City, BIDV and the Community Disaster Prevention Fund (QPT) signed a cooperation agreement to implement a program to plant 240,000 trees in the Mekong Delta
